Lash Lift FAQ

A lash lift is a process that lifts and sets your natural lashes into an upright, slightly curved position, resulting in the appearance of longer and fuller lashes.

Most clients’ lash lift will last up to 8 weeks. After 8 weeks you will notice the lashes start to drop. A minimum gap of 10 weeks is recommended between each treatment to preserve a healthy lash condition.

Upon arrival you will be asked to lay down on the couch and close your eyes. Your therapist will ensure you are warm and comfortable. We kindly request you arrive with no mascara on, however, this can be removed by your therapist prior to the treatment if necessary.

Once the lashes have been cleansed of any oil and water, a plastic silicon shield is applied to the eye lid. Shields vary in size, depending on your desired look your therapist will apply the correct size shield. Once the shield has adhered to the eyelid, a small amount of lash adhesive is applied to the lashes and they are bonded onto the shield. They are positioned in an upright angle in line with the lashes natural growth pattern.

Once the lashes are set into position step 1 of the setting solution is applied. This can be quite potent in its odour. Step 1 is left on the lashes for 6 – 12 minutes depending on lash thickness. Step 1 breaks down the bonds in the hair causing lashes to become malleable and allowing it take on a new shape. After Step 1 is removed, Step 2 is applied.

Step 2 is the setting lotion and rebuilds the proteins in the lashes, hardening the lashes and setting them into their new shape. Step 2 is removed and a tint is applied for extra depth and contrast to your lashes. Once the tint is removed lashes are coated in a keratin bond for hydration and moisture.

After your lash lift you cannot get the lashes wet for 24 hours. Water can affect the result and cause the lashes to drop. You will be provided with a hydrating oil to use at home, this can be applied 24 hours after your lash lift and we recommend using it nightly before bed to keep your lashes healthy and prolong the results of your lift.

Brow lamination is an effective way to create fuller and thicker brows after just one appointment.

Brow lamination is a process that works by breaking down the protein in the hair follicles resulting in brow hair becoming more malleable followed by a setting process that sculpts your brows to the desired shape and thickness.

After the brows have been set into the desired shape, they will be tinted for optimum definition followed by shaping to perfection.

At your appointment, your therapist will assess your eyebrows, discuss your needs and expectations and provide honest feedback on the results you hope to achieve.

Tinting

Tinting your brows or lashes can create a dramatic or subtle difference to your overall appearance as well as saving you time in the morning by waking up with ready to go lashes and brows.

Not all tinting services provide dramatic results, they can be used to subtly cover fair hairs due to lack of pigment or help to conceal areas of hair loss within the brow.

At your consultation, your therapist will discuss the best colour and tone to suit your needs.
